What is “Christmas market”?
It is a traditional festival held in Germany and other parts of Europe for about four weeks until Christmas .
The four weeks from the end of November to December 25th are called Advent, and are the most important and joyous four weeks of the year for German people.
The event is held with a focus on local traditions and folk crafts, with Christmas decorations and illuminations, and some have around 20 stalls, while others are gigantic with as many as 300 stalls lined up.
Stalls sell Glühwein (mulled wine with spices), which is served in cups with different designs depending on the venue, Lebkuchen (traditional sweets with plenty of spices), almond sweets, stollen, grilled sausages, and Christmas ornaments.
I am.
This is the first time the event will be held in Osaka, and since it is the first Christmas season since the end of the coronavirus pandemic, we expect it to be a big hit!
