What is SUPER EIGHT?

SUPER EIGHT, also known as Kanjani Eight, is a Japanese male idol group under STARTO ENTERTAINMENT (formerly known as Johnny’s Entertainment).

On February 4, 2024, the group changed its name from Kanjani∞ to its current name, “SUPER EIGHT.”

They originally debuted as an eight-member group, but after some members left the group, they are now just five. A new album, “SUPER EIGHT,” will be released in 2024 and will be available digitally and through streaming services.

Member Tadayoshi Okura founded a new company, “J-pop Legacy,” in 2024 and has begun new endeavors in the music industry. Through this activity, he is expanding his career as an individual while continuing his activities as a member of SUPER EIGHT.

What is Super DOME TOUR 20th Festival?

SUPER EIGHT’s “Super DOME TOUR Nijusai” is a nationwide dome tour held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut. Starting with their Fukuoka performance on December 7, 2024, they have attracted approximately 380,000 people in a total of eight performances, including at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome  Osaka .

This tour marks an important milestone for the band as it looks back on the 20-year history that the band members and fans have shared together, and takes a new step towards the future.

The final performance of the tour will be held at Kyocera Dome Osaka on January 13, 2025, and will last for about four hours, performing a total of 38 songs, including their debut song “Naniwa Iroha Bushi,” “NOROSHI,” and “Zukkoke Otokomichi.” In particular, “Zukkoke Otokomichi” was performed in two different versions, a reenactment of their 2007 47 prefecture tour and a band style version, which was deeply moving for fans.
